Diet and Acne

There can be acne due to high sebum production as well as pinched off sebum canals. There will be no new pimples if pinching in the sebum canals is eliminated. You can have pinch off of sebum canals in many foods and there can be acne if there is high sebum production. It can be very difficult to tell about the foods which can cause acne leading to new pimples. However it can be easy to know that you have an acne problem due to certain foods. You will need to eliminate foods which can cause acne for about two weeks. You will experience drastic improvement in skin complexion in this period. You will need to maintain this sample diet until you have totally clear skin.
It can be very difficult to maintain this sample diet forever and it is not necessary as well. You can do you own experiment or add some munch foods which are considered to be least acne causing in your diet once you have got totally clear skin. You can have complete control on your skin and there will be no acne rule on your life if you have good diet. There is link between diet and acne. There is direct effect of diet on the insulin level of the body. There is effect of insulin on all other hormones like androgens and it is considered as master hormone. Scientists think that there can be effect of acne on the hormonal fluctuation especially androgen levels. There can be effect of insulin on the hormone growth which can lead to the acne formation in the cellular levels. There can be affect of insulin spike on pathogenesis of acne. There can be positive impact of diet on the acne. You can be able to stabilize insulin levels with the help of low glycemic foods like fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood. Omega 3 fat like fish oil can be powerful anti inflammatory agent in the body.
Most of the doctor said that this is a myth to relate diet and acne and it was found in two prevalent studies in 1969 and 1971. The relation of acne and chocolate was determined in the first study in 1969. chocolate bars were given to two groups one with zero cocoa content chocolate and other was given with huge cocoa content. Equal acne was fared to the two groups for the acne concerns. There was sugar, milk and other things with the chocolate bars and cocoa was tested particularly in the study. The college students were asked about the causes of acne in another study in 1971. They were then given lots of food causing acne. The baseline of the food was not measures and no control group as well. There was no analysis of data made and no lesion count as well. There is no other study found about the acne and diet other than these two studies. Therefore we can not say about the link between the diet and acne until we do more research about it. Therefore it is premature to link diet and acne.
